Medigap Plans

What is a Medigap Plan?

Original Medicare does not cover 100% of your medical costs!

A Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) policy helps pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like:

  • Deductibles
  • Coinsurance
  • Copays

Why should I purchase a Medigap Plan?

  • No Networks - Freedom to choose your doctor
  • No Referrals
  • No Pre-Authorizing Necessary

Medigap policies are sold by private insurance companies.

Some Medigap policies also cover services that Original Medicare doesn't cover, like medical care when you travel outside of the U.S.  If you have Original Medicare and you buy a Medigap policy, here's what happens:

  • Medicare will pay its share of the Medicare -approved amount for covered health care costs.
  • Your  Medigap policy then pays its share.

The 2023 Medigap Plan Options are as follows:

Plan A

Plan B

Plan C

Plan D

Plan F

Plan F (High Deductible)

Plan G

Plan K

Plan L

Plan M

Plan N

All Medigap Plan Options are standardized by Medicare.  This means that Plan F sold by Company A has the exact same coverage as Plan F sold by Company B.

As of 2016 a large insurer in Michigan drastically raised rates for Michigan residents.  Some rates were raised over 100%.  We have helped many Seniors that were affected by this rate increase save hundreds of dollars annually.
